Sunset Music Lessons is one person — Michael Cloutier — teaching bass and guitar in San Francisco. This page explains what the enquiry form collects, why, and what happens to it.
What the form asks for
- Who lessons are for, and the student's first name and age
- Which instrument, and how much they've played before
- Your preferred lesson format: Zoom or in-person studio lessons
- Your name and email address
- Anything else you choose to write, and optionally how you heard about me
That's all of it. No date of birth, no home address, no phone number, no payment details.
Why
To reply to you and work out whether lessons make sense. Nothing else. No marketing list, no automated follow-ups, and no sharing or selling to anyone.
About children's information
The form is written to be filled in by a parent or guardian, and asks for a child's first name and age only — the minimum needed to judge whether lessons are a fit. If your child filled it in themselves and you'd rather it wasn't kept, email me and I'll delete it.
How long it's kept
Enquiries that don't turn into lessons are deleted within twelve months. If you become a student, I keep what's needed to teach you and to keep proper business records.
Who else can see it
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes the request in order to serve the page. Enquiries reach me by email, so my email provider handles them in transit. Nobody else.
Analytics
If analytics are enabled on this site they are Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track you across sites or build a profile of you. There is no advertising pixel on this site.
Your choices
Ask me and I'll tell you what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. California residents have these rights under the CCPA; I'd do it for anyone who asked regardless.
